Cordray Hearing Set for September

Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Johnson has scheduled a confirmation hearing for September 6, 2011, to consider the nomination of the Honorable Richard Cordray, of Ohio, to be director of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.

Mr. Cordray is the former Attorney General for the state of Ohio and has recently been running the enforcement division of the CFPB prior to being chosen by President Barack Obama to serve as Director of the newly created entity.

In addition to Cordray, the Banking Committee will consider the nominations of Ms. Patricia M. Loui, of Hawaii, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank of the United States; and, The Honorable Larry W. Walther, of Arkansas, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
